Under the theme “Accelerate AI Adoption on the Factory Floor: Building Foundations with Standards,” the workshop will bring together researchers, industry professionals, and standards experts to discuss the foundations needed for reliable and scalable adoption of artificial intelligence in manufacturing. Topics include shared terminology, data interoperability, model performance measurement, and validation of AI systems for manufacturing applications.
Prof. Jay Lee, Director of the Industrial AI Center at the University of Maryland, will serve as a Workshop Co-Chair and currently serves as Chair of ASTM Committee F50 on Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Systems. The workshop is co-chaired with Dr. Yan Lu of NIST, Ramesh Subramanian of Siemens Energy, and Dr. Mohsen Seifi of ASTM International.
